Description and History of Site:-
Textile factory with single storey weaving shed, purpose-built for let by entrepreneur, Enoch Robinson. Erected for Enoch Robinson, owner of several Halifax mills, to the designs of Medley Hall in 1896. First occupants were John Oakes & Co., manufacturers of worsted fabrics including damasks and reps who had moved from Regent Works, Hanson Lane. In 1909, the tenants included Messrs. Lawson, Son & Co., worsted weavers and a Mr Stell, cotton weaver. William Mackintosh, worsted spinners occupied the mill in 1936, to be replaced during the 1960s by Allan Haigh & Co., manufacturers of brass valves, cocks, pipes and marine fittings, as well as sound signal equipment.
