Description and History of Site:-
A cotton spinning mill built alongside a previous corn mill about 1800. When it was for sale in 1809 the three storey mill measured 37 feet by 34 feet and was powered by a 16ft6" X 5ft water wheel. The corn mill with its two water wheels was also for sale.
The corn mill was for sale in 1792 when it was suggested that cotton spinning could be added.
John Ellison from Low Bridge Mill in Keighley took the mill in 1810 and insured the mill and contents for £800. It was converted to spin worsted by 1820. Appears to have developed into (or been replaced by) Greenroyd Mill by the 1890's
