Description and History of Site:-
The pillar box is at the rear of the pavement and is in daily use.
According to Bexley Council Strategic Planning and Regeneration Department, "271 letter boxes ... (were) ... made during the short reign of Edward VIII ... (and) ... only about 130 letter boxes cast in 1936 still bear the cipher of Edward VIII."
