Description and History of Site:-
Red brick tower brewery of 5 storeys with a number of ancilliary buildings

McMullens remains the only independent brewery in Hertfordshire - the 6th generation are now involved
Peter McMullen began brewing in 1827 in Railway Street before moving to Mill Bridge in 1830.
1891 His two sons established their brewery on the current site.
1984 A new brewhouse added
