Description and History of Site:-
East Ham Corporation tram depot was opened as a depot on 22 June 1901 and was taken over by London Transport on 1 July 1933.

It closed shortly thereafter 30 September 1933 with operations transferred to the former West Ham Corporation depot in Greengate Street. For many years it was used by council lorries.

Now incorporated into the Newham Council Leisure Centre.

GLIAS (1979): 'Buildings practically unchanged. Rails still in situ, overhead protection for wires still there just inside the entrance.'
