Description and History of Site:-
The White Building, now used as a brewery cultural space and bar, is a two-storey, white-painted brick building with tall ceilings and windows facing the canal. It was built as a chemical warehouse in the late 19th century but later used by the Clarnico company for the roasting and processing of imported cocoa beans, brought from the docks by barge.

It is concrete-framed with a lean-to roof of c.1921.
