Description and History of Site:-
Fire station by the Fire Brigade Section of the London County Council Architect's Department (chief architect Robert Pearsall). Altered 1912 and 1958.

The oldest operational fire station in London.

SELIA (1982): 'An early L.C.C. fire station with flats over, it has a circular exercise tower reminiscent of the earlier example at Woolwich.'
