Memorial statue. c1877, the pedestal by Norman Shaw, the statue by Baron Marochetti. Portland stone pedestal with flanking screen and bronze standing figure of the great engineer. Inscription: 'Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Civil engineer. Born 1806 Died 1859'
