The Signal public house

Description and History of Site:-
Formerly The Signal public house, said to have been built in 1854, the name recalling the building's proximity to the London and Croydon and London and Brighton Railways opened through South Norwood in 1839-41.
Following approval of planning application 17/03340/CONR on 5 October 2017 the building been converted into flats and the pub's former name (Signal) in the plasterwork at the very top of the building is once again in evidence.
