Station Road public lavatories

Description and History of Site:-
Public toilets below street level at top of Station Road, South Norwood, behind the Stanley clocktower (qv) - single flight of steps (guarded by iron railings) leads down to M and F provision.
Evidently still functional 12/2002 although the steps down a disgusting mess of litter - presumably retained to serve those attending football matches at Crystal Palace / Selhurst Park, many of whom arrive / depart by train via Norwood Junction Station.
