Description and History of Site:-
A passenger station of the Fenchurch to Tilbury Line, opened in 1908 and partly financed by the Samuel Williams company to service their docks and the industrial estate. An extensive private rail network of over 20 miles of track, which linked into the LTS Railway was laid down by the Samuel Williams Company to service their docks and the industrial estate.
The Channel Tunnel Rail Link passes immediately to the south of the station, having emerged from the tunnel from Stratford just west of here.
