Fenchurch Street Station

Description and History of Site:-
The London and Blackwall Railway was extended from Minories to Fenchurch St, August 1841. Present station dates from 1853 with facade by George Berkeley, engineer to the line Train-shed roof span is 110 ft. Interior altered 1935. Compact station on brick viaduct with four platforms approached by stairs from ticket office, Second entrance through LTSR offices in Cross wall opened in early 1880s. Substantially rebuilt recently, facade retained.
