Description and History of Site:-
A single story shed type lace factory facing Canal Street, with a more modern extension along Wellington Street. Name and date on the Canal Street facade.
Built in 1907 as a single occupancy lace factory for C.G Drury (or Day) (as opposed to the more common tenement model with multiple occupants). Powered by electricity from the start. From 1929 became the upholstery works of H.Wade. Continues in the furniture business under the JDP Furniture Group.
