Description and History of Site:-
Bucyrus Erie 1150B walking dragline, originally built in 1948 in Wisconsin, USA. Occasionally open to the public, particularly on 'Heritage Open Days'. Moved to Swillington in 1972, having previously been used in other UK locations since 1952. Weighing 1200 tons and with a bucket capacity of 20 cu. yds.
