Rochdale Canal Warehouse

Description and History of Site:-
Watershot masonry, ashlar quoins and band, slate roof. 2½ storeys. Canal front is symmetrical and has semi-circular arched entry to wet-dock. Rochdale Canal Company warehouse of the late C18. In the 1990's had been used for some time as a builders merchants, more recently converted to residential. At the time of listing (1983) a large metal roller door had been inserted into the south wall, this has now been removed and the wall and arched entry reinstated.
