Scarcroft Railway Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
Bridge carrying the Leeds and Wetherby branch line (NER) over the track leading to Scarcroft Mill. It is of interest as it shows clearly how the bridge was widened when the line was upgraded from single track to double. Line opened 1st May 1876 by the North Eastern Railway, widened to double track 1902, closed April 1964.
