Rear has similar fenestration as front. Left-hand return has 2 bays of 2-light windows to each floor." [Listing Description] Giles & Goodall wrote: "Early history obscure, but probably originated in late 18th century as water-powered scribbling and fulling mill. From 1813 mill was run by Hainsworth family, woollen manufacturers, but later the related Gaunt family assumed control. Pre-1850 buildings include three-storeyed eight-bay steam-powered mill of c1830, and cloth dryhouse of two storeys, formerly attached to gas-making plant. Wheel-pit next to mill end indicates use of water power alongside steam. Mill became integrated only in the mechanised period, for in c1864 a three-storeyed twelve-bay spinning mill was added, followed by a weaving shed in 1869. Offices built near site entrance in 1891 to designs by C S Nelson of Leeds, and new boiler house (with drying floors) and dyehouse added in 1901-2 to designs by W D Gill of Stanningley."

Now (2019) in mixed commercial and leisure uses.
