Hicklam Mill

Description and History of Site:-
Stone tower of 4 storeys including a basement with Scottish type rounded wide opening to basement. Two opposing doorways on ground floor one blocked. Doorway on 1st floor approached by exterior ladder may be inserted - no sign of balcony. Irregularly spaced windows. Openings probably much altered; several of present openings have no lintel other than wooden frame to window door etc. (Hatcher, 1974). Tower windmill, probably C18.
