Description:-
Foghorn on the coast between Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.

History:-
Built on the site of Whitby Low Light, operational from 1903 to 1987, decommissioned by Trinity House in 1988. Known locally as Hawsker Bull, sounding 4 blasts every 90 seconds in foggy conditions through 2 iron Rayleigh trumpets 20ft in length. Powered by compressed air, originally by 2 Hornsby horizontal oil engines. Electrification work completed in 1961. Sold to residential use and now known as Hornblower Lodge.
