Foot Bridge near Grosmont

Description and History of Site:-
Footbridge of 1909 (dated on north abutment). Abutments and two piers of mass concrete with a narrow deck of reinforced concrete and modern timber handrails. The deck would be rather early if original and may be a more recent replacement of a timber deck. The footbridge parallels a vehicular ford across the River Esk.
