Beggars Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
Beggars Bridge. Packhorse over River Esk, Glaisdale. 1619 dated with arms of Thomas Ferris of Hull who built it. Single deep segmental arch in sandstone. Paved roadway between coped abutments at either side span 16.5m width 2m.
