Yorkshire Chemicals Ltd.

Description and History of Site:-
Buildings not very interesting and fairly modern. (Hatcher 1973). It seems likely that some of the original buildings survive (2018). Originally a liquorice works of 1900, acquired in 1912 and further developed by the then "Yorkshire Dyeware and Chemical Co Ltd" itself formed by the amalgmation of eleven smaller firms in 1900. In 1992, was the speciality products division of Yorkshire Chemicals Ltd, with the focus on products for the tanning and dyeing of leather. Later became "Clariant Chemicals" which ceased trading in 2009. Now (2017) Industrial Chemicals Ltd.
