Tower Brewery

Description and History of Site:-
Brick tower almost like Richmond Castle Keep. Turrets are chimneys. Adjacent to site of railway line. (Hatcher 1973). Originally Tadcaster Tower Brewery Co Ltd, acquired by Hammond's of Bradford in 1946. In 1973 was owned by Bass Charrington, demolished May 1974, though brewing operations still on the site in more modern premises, still (2017) called 'Tower Brewery' and owned by Molson Coors.
