Warehouse

Description and History of Site:-
In 1973 Hatcher noted: Strange brick building with large windows, some weatherboarding and spaced brickwork like a dovecote in gable end. Information from Ripon residents in January 2018 suggests that the buildings were very probably warehouses, at least in the period up to demolition in the late 1980s / early 1990s. What they stored is now unknown. The area around them was known as Doubtfire's Yard. The site was redeveloped as housing, Bedern Court. The adjacent passage-way from Kirkgate to Skellgarths is Peacocks Passage.
