Buttercrambe Mill

Description and History of Site:-
In 1973 Hatcher recorded that the mill building was of brick 3 storeys. Centre bay with pediment rusticated quoins rusticated reveals and keystones in contrasting brick. Very wide openings. Lunette in pediment. Two side wings recessed from the main bay or two storeys roof slope of pediment carried down therfore reducing possible height of wings. Reportedly contains a datestone of 1697 and operated until the 1950s. Subsequently converted to residential house after several decades of dereliction.
