Coulton Mill

Description and History of Site:-
Ruinous small farm-type. Two storey rubble stone and pantile. Large wooden exterior wheel in position (Hatcher 1973).
Now (2017) refurbished to residential house. Most of the buildings shown on the maps of the 1890's are still extant, and the overshot wheel still in place although the wheel house has now lost its roof and is deteriorating. There is documentary evidence of a mill at Coulton since the C13, the present structure thought to be from C17 or C18
