Bardney Gas House

Description and History of Site:-
Small town gas works established about 1863 by the Bardney Gas, Light and Coke Company (incorporated December 1874). Located on the site of an existing coal wharf. Production ceased prior to 1924 when the site was old. Most buildings have been demolished. Workers cottage still a private house.
