Hewson's Mill

Description and History of Site:-
A tower whiting mill of 1813 converted at an early date to corn milling. In 1848 it was advertised as having a steam mill contiguous with the tower " well adapted for the purpose of corn millers and seed or bone crushers"

It was working on wind power up to 1922 but appears to have ceased milling in the 1920's.
