Stamp End Lock and Sluice

Description and History of Site:-
The upper-most of 3 locks on the River Witham before Brayford Pool, the others being Grand Sluice and Bardney Lock. The original top lock was built in 1770, but the lock on the current sites dates from 1826 when Sincil Dyke was excavated in its current form. The lock has guillotine gates.
