West Rasen Packhorse Bridge or Bishop's Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
This small sandstone bridge is reputed to have been built by Bishop Dalderby of Lincoln in 1310 but may be of a later date. The bridge is approximately 4ft 6in (1.37m) wide with 2ft (.6m) parapets. The three elliptical double chamfered ribbed arches are of roughly, equal span of 11ft to 12ft, (3.35m to 3.6m) giving the bridge only a very slight rise and an overall length with abutments of 39ft (15.55m)
