Shelderslow Mill

Description and History of Site:-
A mill for mule spinning existed in this area in 1811. A new mill was built in 1823 and in 1833 had a 12 hp steam engine and was still being used for mule spinning. Original mill run by George Buckley with 1823 mill built by John Buckley. He let part of the mill to a variety of tenants over the years. Not shown on the OS mapping of 1890 or thereafrter
