Deepdale Pipe Bridge, Footbridge

Description and History of Site:-
The pipe bridge was built in 1893 to support pipes that were part of the Stockton and Middlesbrough Water Company's scheme to transport fresh water from the Lartington Treatment Works to Teesside. The bridge consists of three 17m span wrought iron lattice girders a plaque states that they were fabricated by Head Wrightson & Co. Ltd. of Thornaby. This bridge also serves as a footbridge having a timber deck laid above the pipes.
