Jowett Cars Ltd. / International Harvester - Bradford

Jowett Javelin, 1953. Introduced in 1947, the Javelin was a radical, stylish design compared with Jowett's pre-war cars, and the products of other British companies of the time, most of which were making slightly updated versions of their pre-WW2 models. Its bodywork was made by Briggs Motor Bodies, Ltd, Doncaster. Production ceased in 1954 when Ford bought Briggs to manufacture bodies for their own cars.
