Blackstone Edge Road, Causey, Dhoul's (Devil's) Pavement - Ripponden

A stretch of ancient highway crossing the Blackstone Edge watershed, on the Yorkshire side close to where it meets the A58. This section is known as New Gate and keeps close to Rag Sapling Clough to its south. This section illustrates a levelling out along the shoulder of the hillside. Photo. July 1991.
