Thompson's Woodturners or the 'Peg and Lag Shop' - Keighley

Rose Mount, Sutton-in-Craven, William Thompson's original joiners shop (centre foreground) in which he founded the business in 1862. It was here that William produced the very first Dobby as a wooden prototype to John Smith's design before the loom manufacturers like Hattersley's took over production using iron two years later.
