Old Lane Old Mill or Lee Bank Mills - Halifax

Lee Bank Mills, Northowram showing the new mill on the right. Pair of steam powered cotton spinning mills erected during the mid 1800s on the site of much earlier water powered site owned by William Mitchell. James Akroyd, junior, had established himself at the mill in 1811 for worsted production, and began the use of power looms in 1822, before transferring to the adjoining Old Lane Mill. Photo.
