Description and History of Site:-
There are two discrete areas of grassed-over delphs form which limestone cobbles were extracted from superficial deposits of glacial till and burn on site. The delphs east of the beck are clearly see but those to the west have largely been levelled off. Nothing is known of their story though they are shown on OS First Edition mapping.
