Description and History of Site:-
The remnants of a small generating station, built in 1913. The Guildford Electric Supply Company was formed in 1896.
A larger (11 MW) station in Woodbridge Road was demolished about 1970, but the cooling water inlet and coal barge berth are still visible on the River Wey at SU 993505.
