Description and History of Site:-
Former boat-building and repair yard adjacent to the Wey Navigation Office.

Features include the blacksmith's shop, steam chest for shaping timber and a recovered Wey barge, the Reliance (kept in a dry dock).

The last barge to be built was Diligent in 1940.
