Description and History of Site:-
Late 19th-century granary opposite the four-storey roller mill, now part of the Mill Hotel.

Grain was delivered and stored in a tall silo attached to the Granary and then fed down through a high level pipe across the road and into the mill.

The bricked-up opening on the third floor was probably the site of the lucam - a projecting box-like structure through which sacks of grain were hoisted up from wagons below.

Now used for offices and accommodation.
