First power-driven silk mill in Sudbury. Built c1890 by Kipling, Dennler and Company and taken over in 1900 by Stephen Walters when Kipling Dennler became insolvent.
Alderton (1980): 'On Cornard Road a two-storey brick factory rather wider than most, 12 lights long.'
