Description and History of Site:-
A small cast-iron arch bridge of just 13 ft span.

The first by Sir William Cubitt, constructed in 1813. Cast by Ransome and Son.

An early example, being erected only 34 years after the first cast-iron bridge to be built (Coalbrookdale 1779).

Alderton (1980): 'Cast-iron arches dated 1813. Series of cast-iron ribs bearing on iron thrust plate, wood-lined, brick abutments, c.12ft (3.7m) span and road width.'
