Description and History of Site:-
Incredible ruin like a Gothic folly. Tall narrow two storey stone folly parallel to river with steep gable elaborate trefoil and round arched doorway with circular tracery. In nice ashlar work with rusticated quoins. At right angles to south a much wider two storey building with wide squat gable containing lunette. Regular spaced openings. Brick to inside of openings. Wide water channel or cut now used for salmon leap. (Hatcher, 1973)

Marked as a flax mill on the OS 6 inch map of 1849, and as a saw mill in 1890. Marked as disused from 1908 onwards.
