Louth Railway Station

Description and History of Site:-
Although the Great Northern Railway's East Lincolnshire line opened in 1848, the current buildings at Louth Station were not constructed until 1854. Built in brick in a neo-Jacobean style, so favoured by stations in the mid 19th century, the station has a fine porte-cochere. The station closed in 1970 and the buildings have been refurbished to residential housing.
