Description and History of Site:-
This bridge over the Thames replaced Mylne's bridge of 1769 when opened in 1869. It has five wrought iron arches with cast-iron facings to the designs of Joseph Cubitt and H Carr. The total length between abutments is 923 feet with a central arch of 185 feet. The bridge was widened in 1907-10.
