Description and History of Site:-
Lattice girder bridge over the Granta, constructed 1886 and bearing the name of the founder, J I Headly, Mill Road, Cambridge.
Plaque inscription:
This bridge was erected and the approaches thereto with the new watercourse were made at the cost of Elisabeth Goodwin Hemington and given by her to the parish of Hildersham for the use and benefit of the inhabitants thereof. Ferdinand Huddleston Esqr lord of the manor, Robert Goodwin R D, rector of the parish, Samuel Conder, contractor and manager of the works. A.D. 1886
