Becks Mill

Description and History of Site:-
Giles and Goodall wrote: "Built in 1907 as part of expansion of long-established worsted-spinning and manufacturing concern operating from another mill (Grove Mills) in Keighley. Ambitious plans by Moore and Crabtree of Keighley for two large mills and sheds were not followed and the 1907 complex took the form of a single large spinning mill of six storeys and eighteen bays, with attached boiler house and electricity-generating room. The earliest known example of a Yorkshire mill with its own generating plant. The spinning mill, of fireproof construction using steel beams and hollow-brick floors, has an angle-iron shed roof."

Still in operation, though principally involved with nylon and polyester, by Ogden Fibres.
