Description and History of Site:-
Four storeys and loft large gable to river. 4 bays. 1 3 and 4 are windows with iron criss-cross grilles all with white brick voussoirs. Bay two is loading with large iron crane. Loading entrance and white brick lunette (blocked) in gable. Smaller plainer warehouse adjacent to west half demolished. Three bays central loading. On Skeldergate facade: faded lettering: 'Cake Stores The British Mill Ltd.' Linseed. Perhaps operated in conjunction with Quin's mill. Originally seed mill and warehouse. In 1973 was occupied by T. F. Wood & Co Ltd, "Water Transport, Warehousing and Forwarding". Converted to mixed offices and apartments in 1999.
