Slag Cliffs

Description and History of Site:-
Slag Cliffs. These high cliffs (around 60m O.D.) are formed from molten blast furnace slag that was tipped over the edge from railway ladles. The Cattersty valley to the west, now a nature reserve, was also infilled.
