Skiplam Hold Cauldron Mill

Description and History of Site:-
White limestone mill, two storeys and loft, with two mill houses being restored, pantile roofs (Hatcher, 1973). The inscribed stone dated 1734 on the frontage records the rebuilding by Matthew Foord of an earlier building, destroyed by fire. There are three sets of stones, one inscribed "WJ & T CHILD MAKERS HULL & LEEDS". 15ft diameter water wheel and cast iron pit wheel adjacent to the mill race at the north end of the building,
